67. Impression - the reverse or negative of the surface of any object in a plastic material.
68. Incisal Angle - the “corner” of an anterior tooth formed by the proximal surface and the incisal edge
69. Incisal Edge - the cutting edge of an anterior tooth
70. Incisors - those teeth with a thin, sharp cutting edge which are used for cutting and biting- there is a central and lateral incisor in each quadrant- front four teeth- top and bottom
71. Inlay - a filling of metal or porcelain that is first shaped to fit a cavity and then cemented in. The Cerec makes inlays but they can also be made in a dental lab.

73. Interproximal Surfaces - the surface of the tooth that is in between two teeth. Means same as proximal.
74. Labial - refers to the lips- the surface of the anterior teeth that is towards the lips
75. Labial Frenum - the band of tissue which passes from the inside of the lip to a point midway between the central incisors
76. Lingual - refers to the tongue- the surface of the teeth which is toward the tongue
77. Lingual Frenum - the band of tissue which passes from the underside of the tongue to the floor of the mouth
78. Malocclusion - irregularities in the positioning and relationship of the teeth
79. Mandible - lower jaw
80. Mandibular Arch - the arrangement of teeth in the mandible
81. Matrix - an artificial wall used to replace the missing wall of a prepared tooth while the restoration is being placed- metal for posterior and clear plastic for anterior
82. Maxilla - upper jaw
83. Maxillary arch - the arrangement of the teeth in the maxilla
84. Margin - most commonly used to designate the junction of the tooth surface and the restorative material
85. Mesial - the proximal surface of the tooth which is towards the midline (the imaginary line between the two middle teeth)
86. Midline- - an imaginary line that divides the head and face into two identical halves
87. Molars -the posterior teeth with a broad working surface which is used for the grinding of the more solid pieces of food which require the use of heavy forces- there are two molars in each quadrant of the primary dentition and three molars in each quadrant of the permanent dentition
